This isn't live (duh). In fact, it's from 2012. But it's Christmas-ish and features a hot reporter, Evelyn Taft and a creepy Santa. Is there any other kind?

Also featured in this video is a group of ukulele players performing Madonna's 1984 song Holiday, a man dressed in a chipmunk suit named Chipper and a couple of out of tune singers.

Now, would I make this up? Federio Fellini would be proud.

Evelyn Taft is not real.  Since KCAL is in Los Angeles, California,  it's not unbelievable that she is a creation from a special effects house like Industrial Lights and Magic.

No human being looks her. Seriously, I think the KCAL program director went to someone like James Cameron and said, "Create the perfect blonde woman."

And then in the spirit of Jessica Rabbit from Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Cameron's special effects house created Evelyn Taft, the first CGI weather girl.

Evelyn Taft Making The Weather Hot (KCAL)

Currently, I live in Alabama and the television weather people are usually dorky white guys with horrible looking suits. That's just who they are in Alabama. In California ,however, there seems to be a rule that the weather must be done with:

A. A woman
B. A very hot woman.

Evelyn Taft fits the requirements. Sheworks for CBS affiliate KCAL channel 9 out of Los Angeles and probably is a ratings draw.

According to her bio at KCAL's website: ...Evelyn’s passion for weather grew as she earned her certificate in meteorology from Mississippi State University and joined the news team at KCOY, the CBS affiliate on the central coast, where she performed several duties as a weather anchor, news anchor and reporter. While there, she spent a significant amount of time reporting from the front-line of several Santa Barbara County wildfires. 

No doubt caused by her.

Evelyn Taft currently works at KCAL, a CBS affiliate based in Los Angeles.

In LA, apparently, there are so many hot women doing the news that some genius decided to make a page at YouTube called LANewsBabes which features Taft along with several other good looking professional woman holding it down.

When I described the person who formed LANewsBabes as some genius, I wasn't being a smartass. I meant it.

Right up there with the late Steve Jobs.

For some reason the spell-checker in Blogger doesn't recognize Los Angeles as being spelled correctly. If anyone who works at Blogger know why this it, let me know in the comment section below. Lord knows I misspell a lot of words but a triple checked and Los Angeles is spelled Los Angeles.

Taft has a degree in meteorology from the great Mississippi State University. So, she is qualified to do the weather. Hey, I read it off of the KCAL website, so it must be true

No, she is not some hot actress who was hired to read the weather off the TelePrompter.
