During my daily check of this blog for misspellings, grammatical errors, broken links, and broken GIFs, I discovered that I haven't posted a new Mayte Carranco video all year. All year!

Well, that ain't right!

Again, I have to wonder how important is the weather to news programmers? Mayte Carrano is not a meteorologist. She's a model. Yet, she does the weather?  I know there no standards for bloggers but I thought news organizations had some integrity.

As far as I know, Carranco doesn't have a degree in Meteorology.  From the information that I have gathered, before she was doing weather, she was a model.

Nothing wrong with that. It's just that I wonder how important is it when a local weather person says that they have a degree in Meteorology, if they can get anybody hot to read the weather?

Now you might ask, "Don't you want the most knowledgeable person broadcasting at the time of a weather emergency or do you want the hottest?"

I would say, "I want the hottest person."

Thus, the reason I'll never be hired as a program manager.

Again, I call on the United States of America local news producers to follow to in the footsteps of Mexico and use the bikini model as weather person.

When the weather gets bad and you have to break into programming, pull out the real meteorologists but for your everyday forecast it 's way past time you hire a Mayte Carranco type.

At this point, what do you have to lose? Can you imagine a Victoria's Secret model(wings and all) broadcasting your local weather?

I'd dare you not to watch. Seriously, I have no idea what Carranco is saying and I watched the whole video.

Mayte Carranco does the weather for MTY television in Mexico.  After watching this and other of Carranco's clips, I have to ask why do we have to put up a fence across our southern borders again?

In the video below, you will see a typical Carranco weather report for MTY. Believe it or not, this is one of her more tame outfits. No wonder Carranco was once voted the hottest weathergirl in the world.

If you ever read a story about how local news ratings are going down, point your local news directors to this post. Mayte Carranco is a weather reporter  for  MTY Television in Mexico .  Apparently, there is no dress code and I'm not complaining at all.  Not one bit.
