Broadcasting is a great job. It's a lot tougher than it looks. A good broadcaster communicates their presentation effortlessly.
Most people do not have the communication skills (yes, communicating effectively is a skill) to be even a decent broadcaster.
And, really, there are not that many broadcasters in the USA compared to police officers, teachers and bloggers. Thus, a lot of competition for a few professional spots.
So, if you think you have the ability to communicate to a broad audience and the patience to battle in a small professional field, I highly suggest that you enter the world of broadcasting.
Oh, it wouldn't hurt if you're hot. If not, blogging is always an option.
